Everyone’s journey through the world of fertility looks different, but we can all agree on one thing: attempting to conceive is not always as fun as it sounds. While you are jumping hurdle after hurdle of blood tests and invasive ultrasounds, it stings to see your friends’ breeze past you with their easy pregnancies. If there are doulas to help coach women through the labor process, why can’t anyone coach you through infertility?
Today we have two special guests, one is a wife, stepmom, dog mom, and a newbie to the writing world who aspires to change the world of infertility. A certified medical assistant for fifteen years, she is currently a volunteer for Mentor North, a community-based mentoring organization. She lives in Duluth, Minnesota, with her husband, stepdaughter and their three dogs.
The other one is an advocate for women and infertility, a coffee lover, a sucker for a good British series, a wearer of comfy clothes, and someone you can lean on for anything. She is also an auntie to many she loves with her whole heart. She has a BBA from Mesa State College, MBA in IT Leadership and MAM in Change Leadership from the College of Saint Scholastica. She lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota with her husband, and two Shih Tzus.
They wrote the book: The Infertility Doula. Their infertility struggles have spanned years and the entire continent of North America, and they are here to share the friendly advice they have collected in their experiences.
In their book you will find stories from people that are struggling down the path of fertility. This book will help to find strength to anybody that is fighting to conceive.
Welcome to our featured guests, Tia Chapinski and Daniella (Jaros) Virijevic.
